The following paragraph will sound cliched and obvious.
Lately, I've been seeing a lot of movies adapted from books. The movie never justifies the greatness of the book. I mean, I hate to be a prick that says, "the book is sooooo much better", but I am that prick. It is possible to make a movie that justifies the book, just seldom done. Think Jurassic Park. That book was OK, and the movie was good. And that's just one example.
I've been thinking about adapting a book into a screenplay. I think that would be fun. However, it's hard to decide on a book. I was thinking about trying to adapt Less than Zero. But, to my dismay, it is already a movie. Starring Robert Downey Jr. The trailer is amazing, but it looks like the movie falls short of the book.
The announcer is awesome. The title at the end is fantastic, also.
I love skateboarding. More than anything. I was cheering during this match.

Purpose of The Blog
The purposes of this Blog are:
1) To help me become a better writer.
The Blog gives me a chance to post my writings on a public forum. Instead of only writing in my journal, my friends and family will now have the opportunity to critique my writing. I am in the infancy of my writing career and need all the critique I can get.
2) To help me master the internet.
As I stated in About Me, I don't like the internet. However, as an aspiring journalist, the internet is the most important resource I have. I must learn and master the internet.
3) To keep friends and family updated on my life.
I am constantly on the move. I have no idea where the next couple of years will lead me. The Blog gives my friends and family an opportunity to 'check in on my life' and to keep in touch whenever they see fit.
4) To indulge myself.
5) To give potential employers a feel for my personality and to sample my writing, however crappy it may be.
